Final Post

Cal High Postcard

1. My favorite picture is the one of the football field, since the sunset is pretty and can represent the closing of our time here at Cal.

2. I like the font that I chose, since it let me fit a lot of a photo into each letter.

3. I could have done some 3D stuff to make the letters look more like a classic postcard, but I wasn't able to make it look right.

4. A layer mask allows you to only show the part of the image that you've selected or cut out parts of an image.

Photo Advertisement

1. We used a baseball glove to fit to our theme, toys and sports. Baseball glove was chosen because baseball is our favorite sport.

2. Our big idea was to photoshop a ball as if the glove is about to catch it to emphasize the title: Our gloves are quite the CATCH.

3. We photoshopped blue sky to emphasize the theme of hope and delightedness. We used bright lighting to fit to the happy  and hopeful theme.

Black and White Still Life

Still Life Photography

1. I was trying to make the photos interesting to look at.

2. It's mostly direct lighting, with some meant to be more dramatic looking than others.

3. I brightened up some areas that I wanted to emphasize, and added a vignette effect to all of them.

4. I could probably spend more time toying with the adjustment layers to make them look more professional.

Surreal Photograph

1. My image is just putting a twist on a normal photograph, if things could just fall into space.

2. It was pretty easy, since the photos I didn't take myself were pretty easy to find online.

3. I didn't really have to use any techniques out of the ordinary to blend things together too much, just a brightness adjustment layer on the cow.

4. If I had more time I could probably work on making the image appear more photorealistic.
