The President's Photographer Questions

1. What type of photography does Pete Souza practice as the present's photographer?
  • He practices photographic archive.

2. Who was the first president to have a photographer?

  • LBJ Was the first.

3. What did Nixon do to his photographer?
  • He severely restricted the access of his photographer, and was rude to him sometimes.

4. The President's photographer's office used to be the what?
  • The President's barber shop.

5. Where are most of the photographer's photographs displayed?
  • In the West Wing of the White House, hanging up all along the walls.

6. How long is the photographer's typical day?
  • As long as the president's day is, he usually mirrors whatever the President does.

7. Can Pete delete photos if he does not like them? Why/why not?
  • No, it's illegal because all of the photos go to the national archive.

8. Would you want to be the President's Photographer? Why/why not?
  • No, it seems extremely demanding and tiring, and I would pretty much have to give up my current life entirely.
